donate.pet is built and operated in Switzerland by animal lovers, with administrative registration in Zurich. Caring for animals every day is not easy. Every contribution can bring meaningful support to the people who do it.

How donate.pet works

Direct to the cause

Your money goes directly to the shelter's bank account via Stripe Connect, a payment solution from Stripe, our payment partner. We never hold or redistribute funds.

Verified partners

Partners can be invited to join donate.pet or register their interest themselves. Before partners can receive donations, we review their organization, and Stripe also checks onboarded partners. This helps us build a trusted community of partners.

Transparent fees

donate.pet charges a 5% platform fee. Applicable Stripe fees vary by payment method and account service and are deducted from the partner's Stripe balance.

Estimate: CHF 1,000 received through ten Swiss card donations of CHF 100 would leave about CHF 918 for the partner after approximately CHF 32 in Stripe fees and the 5% donate.pet fee. The exact amount varies.
